McMurry In China

Date: 11/16/2009
A group of McMurry faculty, students, and staff will be traveling to China to work alongside the Amity Foundation in programs which will aid the children of migrant Chinese workers. This international mission trip will help us to build a mutually enhancing relationship with the poor of China, and provide a means for us to make a positive impact in the lives of suffering children. We are hoping that this will become an annual trip that will give McMurry students the opportunity to establish a heart for Christian service that will stay with them after graduation.

"Museum" takes place on the final day of a group show of three fictitious contemporary American artists being exhibited in a major museum of modern art. In the course of the day some forty people walk through the show: art lovers, skeptics, foreigners, students, lost souls, fellow artists, and, of course, museum guards. The play is about the movement and yearning of these people and about the varying reactions people have to modern art. Theatre goers are cautioned that the play contains strong language and is not suitable for young children.
